We invite everyone to two special performances in one night—Nights on Broadway and Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp—Saturday April 30, at 7 p.m. in the MSU Old Main Theatre.

The evening will begin with the Nights on Broadway group and soloists performing a half hour of some favorite Broadway show tunes.

During the 15-minute intermission, audience members are invited to participate in a special cakewalk.

The evening concludes with  Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, a 70-minute comedy based on the traditional The Thousand and One Nights.

Purchase your tickets in the Bookstore or at the door.  Admission is $8, $2 for MSU students with ID.  Proceeds benefit the MSU Theatre.

The library is setting up a subscription to Overdrive, a digital distributor of downloadable eBooks and audiobooks.  This subscription will allow you to download and listen to audiobooks using your mp3 player.  It will also allow you to download and read eBooks on an eBook reader or your TabletPC.  Unfortunately, Kindle owners are out of luck because Amazon will not allow content on Kindles that is not provided from their marketplace.

eBooks are not new to the library but the ability to download them onto an eBook reader will be.  The library currently subscribes to two different collections of eBooks (NetLibrary and ACLS Humanities E-Book Project) but these books are only available online and cannot be downloaded onto different devices.

The next step in the library’s subscription to Overdrive is to create a collection of audiobooks and eBooks to make available to everyone.  To ensure we choose the right materials, the librarians ask that you fill out this short survey to help us create a better collection.

You may have noticed that Gail from Dining Services no longer sends out an email each morning with the daily menu at the cafeteria.  If this depresses you, don't worry, you can still find out what is being served for lunch and dinner every day.  If you walk through the Campus Center, take a minute to stop outside the cafeteria door.  Gail prints out the menu and posts it every day.

For those of us who don't make it to the Campus Center on a daily basis or want to think about what we are going to eat for lunch during our 11:00am class, we can now visit the Dining Services website and find a link to the daily menu!

Happy Eating!

The N.D. University System is currently moving toward a single user ID for all IT systems. To accomplish this, login and account information at all NDUS institutions must be consolidated into a single system.

As a result, all students, faculty and staff need to “claim” their N.D. University System ID in the new Active Directory system. For most individuals, this new user ID will be the same as the firstname.lastname ID they currently use [everything in your MSU email address before the @ sign].

PLEASE NOTE: Starting Feb. 12, 2011, you must use your new University System ID to access ConnectND. If you have not completed the claim process by then, you will be unable to log into ConnectND.

At this point, the new System ID will only be used for accessing ConnectND systems.
To complete his process, click the following link:  http://claim.ndus.edu/

If you experience problems or have questions about your System ID, please call the N.D. University System Help Desk by calling 866-457-6387 or e-mailing NDUS.HelpDesk@ndus.edu.
