You may have heard about free books at the library.  With the current Byrnes-Quanbeck Library renovation, we have taken the opportunity to withdraw a significant number of old, somewhat out-of-date books from the library’s collection. People have been combing over them for a few months now but there are still plenty of books available at the library for everyone.  Come check them out, you could find a few oldies but goodies!

Also, books do not have to be used only for reading!  Some of the books are older reference books that while out-of-date are also perfect for creating your very own custom furniture.  While you are at it, how about a few book lamp shades to go along with your new book furniture?

Last but not least, have you thought of all the wonderful and inexpensive gifts you can make out of old books?   The possibilities are endless.  The simplest would be to cut a hole through the pages and create a secret compartment to store valuables.  You can also make unique one-of-a-kind purses for all of your friends.

In the near future any books left over will be recycled, so come to the library and grab your free books today.
